Show and Tell Friday! Amy Butler Challenge

Hello! If Amylouwho's current challenge isn't the perfect reason to update this sad, pathetic, sorely neglected blog, I don't know what is!! Check out the awesomeness.

First, let me divulge a not-so-hidden secret: I. Heart. Amy. Butler. Her fabric makes me giddy. So giddy in fact, I totally stalk my LFS waiting for the new line. Stalk = me go there twice weekly. That said, another not-so-hidden secret: I am terrified to cut into beautiful fabrics! Sometimes, weeks and months go by before I am brave enough to pick up a rotary cutter.

With the help of a lovely quilting genius (Molly Flanders), I sorted through my stash of the LOVE line and sliced into a fabulous purchased pattern. (Sierra's Forest).

This is only my second ever quilt, with my crafting time equally spread across the crafting world: knitting, paper crafting, home decor sewing, cloth-diaper sewing, to name a few.

I love the wonky-ness. The stacked books. The big center blocks that showcase the gorgeous, intoxicating blooms. The vibrant, knock-you-out colors rock my world! Pics of the backing and binding to come...

Up and running...

Ok, so this blog is an attempt to document my thoughts--whether coherent or not, ha! I like to be crafty, so I'll use this as a forum as proof that I actually make use of my time. I CANNOT stick to one project, so this will be a mish-mash of attempts, completions, and wish lists. Journals and diaries have never been a strong suit, so here's a toast to stick-to-itiveness. In the words of my angel-boy: Tah-Dah!!
